Congratulations to Judy Perry, leader of our Creative Writing 1 group, who has been longlisted for the second year running in the Exeter Novel Prize.
Entry for the prize is open to writers who are unrepresented by a literary agent or commercial publisher. They are asked to submit the first 10,000 words of a novel in English that has not yet been accepted for publication by a traditional publishing house.
Out of hundreds of entries from all around the world Judy’s novel, A Pregnant Pause, made it on to a longlist of 19.
She says: “I am honoured to be listed, but sadly have not made it on to the shortlist of five. The same thing happened last year when I was longlisted for my novel Peripheral Damage. I am, however, hoping for better things next year. Third time lucky… “
Charmian Corner says
Well done Judy!
