Our members have a range of backgrounds – some have worked professionally in a field of science or technology, whereas others are simply interested in the exciting and amazing world of science and technology.
Members volunteer to give a talk on a particular area that interests them, or a video is chosen from the internet and this is followed by discussion and questions.
Recent talks and videos have included ‘Climate Reality’, ‘Advantages of driving BEVs’, and ‘the Nuclear Accident at Fukushima’. The group also arranges visits from time to time to places of scientific interest such as the synchrotron science facility at Harwell.
