The world we live in is increasingly threatened by changes to our environment. The group has been set up to delve into this.
Nothing environmentally is off the table – it’s up to members to devise the agenda.
Deforestation, air pollution, loss of biodiversity and habitats, polar bears and penguins, why the green belt matters, our very local issue of river pollution, schemes to protect the environment – we need to find out more and also look at solutions.
Members are asked to take an issue which matters to them and research it to present to the rest of the group; they can do this in pairs if they like, using whatever material they wish.
Visits will be an important part of our activities.
