Picnic in the park

To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, join us for a picnic at Buckland Park Lake with a free cup of Pimm’s, cake and a Jubilee quiz.

We hope many members will join in. Some seating and tables will be provided but bring your own picnic and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings and good company. To add a twist of celebratory fun come dressed in red, white and blue. To protect bird life, dogs are not permitted on site. There is indoor accommodation available in the event of rain.

The venue

Hewn from the old sand quarries of the 1920s, this woodland space between Dorking and Reigate extends over 50 acres, offers dramatic views over a man-made lagoon and walking trails to explore an abundance of birdlife, wildlife and flora. There is ample parking and a restaurant where you can buy refreshments.

Cost

£4 for members and non-members, including Pimm’s, tea or coffee and cake.

The price includes entry to the park (normally £7) and admission will be by ticket or by quoting your email booking reference.
