The Photography group undertook a fun St George Challenge during the month ending 23 April – St George’s Day. The aim was to take a series of photographs of various subjects defined by the acrostic: Solitary, Tiny, Gateway, Easter, Orange, Rough, Glass and English.
Group member Angela Rixon, an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society, devised the challenge and judged the entries from the 13 members who picked up the gauntlet.
Paul Smith emerged the overall winner with an almost perfect score, while several other individual photos were given a Special Award. Here come the Specials:
