Groups Co-ordinator Lionel Cartlidge writes: I have had some interest in establishing a new group to look at and study British birds, especially those in our local area. I am testing the waters further by proposing a first meeting in the spring. Unusually, this will be a field visit to Warnham Local Nature Reserve, which is on the edge of Horsham.
You can find more information on its website. It is a compact and well established reserve which, in the spring, should hold a good array of birds and wildlife.
I would like to meet interested members at the reserve at 10am on Tuesday 18 April. Since it is now over two months before the suggested date you will have had good notice and I would like to know how many members can meet on that date. So please ring me on 01306 898491 or email eljaysee@ljcartlidge.co.uk.
I will be happy to provide more information and directions and also to discuss any travel problems which may emerge.
