We live in one of the most beautiful counties in the south of England but to appreciate its special features and discover the hidden Surrey, local history groups are the way to go. Our group members have a wide range of experience and interest and everyone is encouraged to contribute to the running of the group.
We generally meet informally in Dorking Library where we have access to research documents and books to help our discussions. The subjects we tackle can range from local architecture and industry, leisure activities and famous people.
When we organise local walks or take part in visits to local sites of interest or attend talks by local speakers, days
and times of meetings may vary.
