There’s always plenty to do
Our U3A offers many opportunities to get involved and help support the range of activities membership provides. If you possess a skill that you feel is under-used since leaving full-time employment or you can spare a few hours every now and then, here’s your chance to contribute to the common good. You might have expertise to offer that we know nothing about (as long as you were not expected to do it all the time).
If you would like to help, contact Bob Brown (07842 929676 or email chairman@dorkingu3a.org.uk) or any member of the committee.
Sit on our RUG
From time to time the committee needs help with an assortment of tasks which some members could offer on an occasional basis. We have created a Really Useful Group (a RUG) that can be called on when needed.
RUG members might: make coffee/tea for a meeting when we have external visitors, set out chairs, make notices, help set up a projector, deliver a piece of equipment, collect a visitor from the station, fill in for someone who is unexpectedly unavailable…
If you would like to join the RUG, contact Mike Thurner (01306 884831 or email miketauto@aol.com) or any member of the committee.
