|Meets||Second Tuesday of the month, 10am-noon|
During the spring lockdown the Scribblers met via Zoom each fortnight. Well, we all had time on our hands. As well as normal routines we had a ‘silly theme’: wearing a hat, T-shirt or accessory and telling its story. Our meetings were something to look forward to, and because fewer people attended we had more time to chat. And of course we didn’t have to dress up!
Phase 2 – lockdown ended – hurrah. We resumed ‘normal’ meetings, but with a difference, as they took place in a member’s beautiful garden and with social distancing. Loud voices were essential but we found the pleasure of really seeing each other and relaxing with friends went beyond words.
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 10am to noon, currently in central Dorking. Please feel free to join us: new faces are always welcome and writing is an excellent interest in these troubled times. At each meeting we do a five-minute ‘Scribble’ on a random topic (amazing what people come up with), some sort of writing activity, then we read what we’ve written on a common theme.
