Speaker Colin Brown says: “Having been an active boating enthusiast and owning my own boat for most of my life the RNLI has always been dear to my heart. Having the knowledge that they were always there should I ever be in trouble at sea has been very comforting. So when I found myself with some spare time following my retirement from a career in aircraft maintenance and operations, volunteering to work with the RNLI was a natural thing to do.
“As a community presenter I have delivered well over 500 presentations to groups all over the South-east. My presentation is a fast-moving illustrated talk and tells the story of modern RNLI operations, equipment and training.”
