Following the item about the creation of new groups in the spring newsletter there have been some responses which might lead to the establishment of new groups if there is sufficient demand.
Writing remains a popular area and it is proposed to set up a group focused on writing for publication and, if there is sufficient interest, another group to concentrate on writing family history. Details of a preliminary meeting to discuss arrangements for the group(s) are given below.
Another area of interest to members is card games, such as canasta and cribbage. (Bridge will not feature as a U3A bridge group already exists.) A preliminary meeting will be held at the same venue.
The third proposal is to re-establish the German conversation group which met successfully for many years until its leader retired. Details of the preliminary meeting are also set out below.
