Bon appétit: the group met for lunch at Arto restaurant
The French Conversation Lunch Group had its third meeting after resuming post-Covid last week and we enjoyed a most convivial lunch at Arto restaurant in Dorking High Street.
The meeting consisted of a very pleasant hour-and-a-half’s lively conversation – en Français, naturellement – and was accompanied by a thoroughly enjoyable and reasonably priced lunch.
Group leader Geoff Saunders was away on holiday but Linda Willmott very capably looked after liaising with members and booking the restaurant.
We were delighted to be joined by two new members, Charmian and David Murley, who both impressed us all with their excellent French.
Group members have a wide range of abilities, from very basic to almost fluent, so please don’t be put off if you feel your French isn’t of the highest standard.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 10 November so if you would like to dust off that schooldays French, please come and join us. The time and venue will be confirmed nearer the date.
