Dorking U3A member Mike Thurner took this photo yesterday in North Holmwood when the effects of Saharan sand and Portuguese smoke in the atmosphere produced an extraordinary yellow twilight sky in mid-afternoon. Mike, who is co-leader of the Photography 1 group, says that the picture is just as it came out of the camera without any further retouching.
