Tickets are now available for a special U3A event on Wednesday 14 September at St John’s Smith Square in London which will explore the 18th-century context of this superb concert hall and the harmony and invention of Vivaldi’s masterpiece, The Four Seasons.
The day begins with the director of St John’s Smith Square, Richard Heason, discussing the unique history of this musical and architectural landmark. This is followed by a sandwich lunch in the crypt, before the concert performed by award-winning ensemble La Serenissima. The day concludes with a talk by the group’s director, Adrian Chandler.
