Greek Art and Literature

We divide the time pretty evenly between art and literature.

Recently, we have been studying Greek mythology in some depth and reading relevant tragedies and comedies (using Penguin translations). We have looked at illustrations of themes and characters depicted on Greek vases, and have visited the University theatre in Brighton to see a most amusing performance of Aristophanes’ Lysistrata.
